Technology

At St. Francis Xavier Primary School, our Digital Technologies curriculum empowers students from Foundation to Year Six to become confident, creative, and critical users of digital tools and systems. Through engaging, hands-on learning experiences, students explore a wide range of technologies that support problem-solving, communication, and innovation.

Our program focuses on developing digital literacy, computational thinking, and design skills. Students engage in activities such as coding, multimedia creation, robotics, and data collection, while also learning about the safe and responsible use of technology.

We believe that “We are all digital creators.” Our aim is to equip students with the skills and mindset to say, “I can figure this out!”, when faced with a technological challenge. Whether designing a digital storybook, building a game, or collaborating on a project, students are encouraged to think critically, explore solutions, and express their ideas using digital platforms.

The program complements classroom learning across all curriculum areas and makes purposeful use of our school’s iPads, Chromebooks, robotics kits and apps. At St. Francis Xavier, technology is not just a tool; it’s a gateway to creativity, curiosity, and lifelong learning.
